Will a fire blanket be as effective as a fire extinguisher?

Absolutely. Fire blankets are particularly effective for smaller fires and can be easier to handle, making them a great choice for quick responses. They're best used for situations like kitchen fires, where you can safely smother the flames without the mess of a fire extinguisher.

How do I know I’ll actually need a fire blanket?

It's like insurance – you have it hoping you'll never need it, but its value is immeasurable if a fire breaks out. A fire blanket is an essential part of any home safety plan, providing a simple, immediate tool to combat fires.

Can't I just use water to douse a fire?

Water can actually spread certain types of fires or conduct electricity in the case of an electrical fire. A fire blanket is designed to safely smother these fires, making it a safer choice for you and your family.

Is it worth investing in a fire blanket? How often will it be used?

Investing in a fire blanket is investing in your family’s safety. While we hope it remains unused, its presence is a reassurance that you're prepared. Our fire blankets are made to last, with no expiry date, and are always ready in an emergency.

Are fire blankets user-friendly in stressful situations?

Our fire blankets are designed for ease of use. They come with clear instructions, and we provide online tutorials to practice deployment. In an emergency, they can be quickly released and placed over a fire by anyone, regardless of their strength or experience with fire safety equipment.

How do I store the fire blanket for quick access?

We've designed our fire blanket to be conveniently stored in any room. It comes in a sleek, compact package with a 3M wall-mounting hook, making it accessible in seconds without detracting from your home decor.

What if the fire blanket doesn't work as expected?

We stand by the quality of our fire blankets with a satisfaction guarantee. If the product doesn't perform to your expectations, contact us for support and, if necessary, a replacement or refund. Your family's safety and your peace of mind are our top priorities.

How do I know if the fire blanket is the right size?

Our range includes various sizes to fit different scenarios. From small kitchen flare-ups to larger incidents, we'll guide you in selecting the size that best suits your home's specific needs.

Is the fire blanket safe for my children to use?

Yes, in an emergency, even children can use the fire blanket under adult supervision. It's a straightforward process: pull down the tabs to release the blanket and gently place it over the fire source. We provide clear, step-by-step instructions that you can review with your family.

How do I maintain the fire blanket? Does it require special care?

Our fire blankets are low maintenance. There's no need for regular service checks as you would with fire extinguishers. Simply ensure it remains in its designated place, ready for use, and free from obstruction.

Can the fire blanket be reused after a fire incident?

Our fire blankets are designed with high-quality materials that can withstand the rigors of extinguishing a fire, making them reusable in many circumstances. However, for the utmost safety, we recommend inspecting your blanket after any use. If it shows signs of damage or wear, we advise replacing it to ensure that you always have the most reliable protection ready at hand. Remember, while the blanket can serve you more than once, your safety is invaluable – it's always best to have equipment in pristine condition.

To use a fire blanket:

  1. Identify the source of the fire. If the fire is small and contained, such as a pan fire on the stove, it may be safe to use a fire blanket to extinguish it. If the fire is larger or out of control, evacuate the building and call the fire department immediately.

  2. Remove the fire blanket from its storage location. In most cases, fire blankets are stored in a plastic container or on a hook in an easily accessible location. Quickly pull the fire blanket down from its container or hook.

  3. Approach the fire with the fire blanket. Hold the fire blanket in front of you, making sure to keep it between you and the fire.

  4. Cover the fire with the fire blanket. Use the fire blanket to completely cover the fire, smothering it and depriving it of oxygen. Make sure that the entire fire is covered, and hold the fire blanket in place until the fire is completely extinguished.

  5. Dispose of the fire blanket. Once the fire is out, carefully roll up the fire blanket and dispose of it according to local regulations. Replace the fire blanket with a new one as soon as possible.

It's important to remember that a fire blanket should only be used on small, contained fires. If the fire is too large or out of control, evacuate the building and call the fire department immediately.
